Observation

Facts and information gathered during complaint inspection revealed that a staff person did engage in angry or hostile verbal interactions with children. Another staff who repeatedly witnessed their co-worker engaging in angry or hostile interactions with children did not immediately intervene or take action to prevent further inappropriate interactions. The staff person witness did not report their concerns about the inappropriate interactions until they had been ongoing for some time. Complaint is 'valid' for WAC 110-300-0331(1)(b) which requires: An early learning provider must take steps to prevent and, once aware of, must not tolerate angry or hostile interactions.
